Sunday, October 26 is Reformation Sunday!!!
The Protestant Reformation was the most inflectional reality that has taken place on earth since the resurrection! The church in the West was revealed to be what it was; teachers of false doctrine. At Trinity we celebrate this occasion, not because as Lutheran we want to be separate from the Roman Catholics, but because God delivered us from those false teachings through Martin Luther and friends. We always pray for unity on earth among all believers and we will continue to do so until our Lord returns. Nothing would be better than for all Reformed believers to be reunited with Rome and share that blessed unity of doctrine and teaching again. On this celebration we remember the reformation because God gave the reformers victory and freedom to preach and teach the Bible publicly according to the truth of the Gospel. Thank you Lord Jesus for this marvelous gift!! May the Gospel and clear teachings of the Scripture always have free course on earth. Amen.
