Rev. Jason K. Cody
Senior Pastor
Pastor Jason has been a pastor at Trinity since 2015. He earned his Associates Degree in Biblical Studies from Johnson Bible College, Knoxville, TN. His Bachelors Degree in Religion with an emphasis in Biblical Studies from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA and his Masters of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN.
Jason is 43 years old. He is married to his wonderful wife Patricia and together they have been blessed with 10 children! He has experience and had attended many different denominations over his life including "The Assembly of God," Baptist, Christian Reformed, Church of the Nazarene, Cowboy Churches, Church of Christ, and more. He describes his journey to the LCMS church as "much suffering" as God led him to discover the Lutheran Church. Jason was already serving as a pastor in the Christian Churches when he decided to resign his pastorate and become a member of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod even though it meant a second seminary program requirement of earning an M.Div. He describes The Lutheran Church this way:
"Every church I ever attended in my life only taught me what I needed to do to be a better person and please God. The Lutheran Church taught me the Gospel that Jesus pleased God for me with His life and death on the cross, and gave me His righteousness as a gift, purely by grace. It was the only place I could find where I could be honest about who I really was and still feel welcome in the church service."
